Don't Hang Up

This image presents a different approach to the phone booth. Rather than using the high shutter, very blurred effect, I gave this one a crisp high contrast. However, like the other phone booth picture, this one also gives off an ominous feel, because of the boxy plain background, dark phone, and hauntingly bright fingernail polish.

Is it in you?

I thought the perspective of this image was really interesting because of how ambiguous it is. The eye tends to want to drift back in space and then bounce forward in space very quickly. The photo could be described as a trump l'oeil piece, for it takes one solid image of a drink dispenser and converts it into what appears to be Gatorade bottles flying forward in a hallway.

A Parallel Universe

This picture was actually taken out of a window of a moving car, which is why the foreground appears very blurry, while the background is focused and crisp. Although I wish the framing was better, I think the reflective quality of the building on the water adds a really nice parallelism to the composition.

Phonebooth Prisoner

I found this image to be frighteningly fascinating. The soft blur, reflective quality, emotional expression, and fuzzy lettering all contribute to its compelling effect.
